Slone Square Family Mews
This mews house is a London base for three generations of a family. Located in a conservation area near Sloane Square; the property needed to work for two teenage children, their mother and their grandmother!
The project involved a complete strip-out and refurbishment including new mansard, first floor extension and new kitchen and bathrooms throughout. We advised our clients on the costs versus value of creating a basement, before applying for planning permission for the works. We also coordinated a complex party wall process including four adjoining owners and the Cadogan Estate.
We worked alongside our Interior Architecture & Design team on this project, overseeing a competitive tender process involving multiple contractors.
Delivering the project to a tight budget was the client’s priority, and the principal contractor being selected on this basis. We managed the works during the 6 month construction period, ensuring our client could move back into her home before her teenage children flew the nest for university.
