Transforming an underused section of the café into a vibrant, comfortable space.
The Grace team commissioned us to transform an underused section of their café into a more informal seating area where members could relax with friends or the newspapers over a leisurely coffee/healthy juice! The brief arrived in early June with a delivery deadline of the first week of September.
- In this commercial space, clearances and fabrics had to be practical and comply with all applicable regulations.
- With typical lead times for furniture of 8-10 weeks, the pressure was on to agree the details of the scheme leaving enough
time to place orders.
Our client fell in love with a fabric swatch, providing inspiration for the whole redesign. Its duck egg and burnished gold tones picked up the club’s colour scheme whilst its ikat motif suggested a more bohemian vibe. We sub-divided the potentially corridor-like space into three comfortable seating areas, demarcating them with complementary fabrics and eclectic tables, lighting and rugs.
