Full advisory on property search, acquisition and refurbishment.
In a relatively slow lettings market, this family had been lucky enough to rent a large flat in one of Earl’s Court’s premier addresses for several years. They were ready to buy a 4 bedroom family home (perhaps even undertake a project) but remained uncertain of property type and location. Proximity to one of London’s Lycées was a must, along with commutability to the City and Heathrow.
- The wife is a Feng Shui expert – it was essential that the flat or house had the right energy.
- The family needed outside space for the children to play.
- We had to pinpoint an alternative area to match the charms of expensive K&C.
With the K&C sales market heating up, suitable flats were heading over budget so our clients were relieved to be directed towards family areas slightly further out (where their budget would run to a 4 bedroom family house with garden). Through area tours we introduced them to Kentish Town (with its new Lycée), Belsize Park, Queens Park, Brook Green, Battersea, Fulham and Parsons Green – fast turning into a Parisian arrondissement!
Parsons Green’s village atmosphere was a hit with the whole family. Feng Shui manual in hand, we found an unusually wide property on a prime street off Fulham Road. Its mid-modernised condition took it off the developer radar but there was substantial competition among end users. Although our clients’ offer was not the highest on the table, we secured the property for below the asking price with a personal letter from our clients to the vendors and a speedy deposit.
The most nail-biting moment came later, when our client reset the energy pattern/natal chart of her new family home by taking off the roof!
