Seeing its good bones through a tired finish, our search team secured this apartment for our client before
handing the reins to our design team.
This classic first floor flat had not been updated in a decade. No structural work was needed but a heavy cosmetic facelift was well overdue (including a new kitchen, bathrooms, floors and joinery plus top to toe redecoration). Our client asked us to help her produce an elegant scheme suited to this period building.
- A licence to alter from the building’s freeholder had to be negotiated.
- Our client is particularly security conscious so we needed to incorporate this element into the project.
We were happy to work alongside this client who wanted to be fully immersed in the creative process. She was keen to emphasise the property’s period features but add depth and interest with tactile materials, comfortable furniture and contemporary artwork.
We selected paint colours and installed cast iron radiators, stunning parquet flooring and bespoke joinery including a thoughtfully designed kitchen with quality appliances perfect for this keen cook. Her security concerns were addressed by a hand-picked specialist who created a bespoke all singing and dancing security package.
Our client was keen to shop for smaller furniture items and accessories herself, often taking one of our designers along to act as a sounding board, resulting in a beautiful property which accurately reflects its owner’s personal style.
