Our client approached us to find a 2 bedroom flat for his son who was planning to study in London. He was keen to take advantage of a favourable Euro Sterling exchange rate and was seeking longer term capital growth. Elegant architecture and garden access were essential and South Kensington was his preferred location.
Based in the Middle East, he was unable to make it to London during the search period; his son would view our shortlisted properties but essentially the client was buying blind! To stay on budget, we advised our client to expand his search into the area between Gloucester Road and Earl’s Court.
We found a first floor flat on one of the area’s most popular streets with a huge reception room, boasting 3 sets of French windows with views over the lovely communal gardens. With no time to loose, we steered our client through the survey and legal process, exchanging in record time.
Wind forward 4 years and our client has enjoyed a substantial uptick in the capital value of this property which we continue to manage.
